## Module 10. Sinusoids, Complex Numbers, and Periodic Waves

• Identify the components of sinusoidal voltages and currents.
• Set up and solve equations that include complex numbers.

Module Objectives/Outcomes: Students who complete this module will be able to:

1. Find the magnitude, angle, frequency, average value, rms value, and power of a sinusoidal voltage or current.
2. Convert complex numbers from rectangular form to polar form.
3. Convert complex numbers from polar form to rectangular form.
4. Evaluate and reduce complex equations to polar or rectangular form.
5. Use a calculator to solve for the complex value of a variable in a set of complex equations.
