# ECE 252 Introduction to Electrical Engineering

## Module 1. Basic Elements and Circuit Laws

Course Objectives/Outcomes: Students who complete this course will be able to:

• Identify the principal elements of electrical circuits.
• State and apply basic circuit laws.

Module Objectives/Outcomes: Students who complete this module will be able to:

1. Calculate charge, voltage, current, power, and energy in circuits.
2. Apply Kirchhoff's Voltage Law to solve for voltage in circuits.
3. Apply Kirchhoff's Current Law to solve for current in circuits.
4. Apply Ohm's Law to relate voltage, current, and resistance.
5. Use voltage differences to calculate the voltage at any point in a circuit.
